Growing our vegetables in greenhouses means that we create the ideal conditions for growing premium vegetables which are clean and, fresh. Our produce is always in season and we can grow 365 days a year, regardless of weather or environmental conditions.
By controlling the entire crop process from start to end, we ensure quality and traceability at every step of the way. Our in-house proprietary technology means that we can produce more crops on the same foot print of land, using less water than traditional agricultural methods. The vegetables on our farm are precisely cared for, without any pesticides. By controlling the entire process, we ensure quality and traceability at every step from seed to store.
Using our in-house proprietary methods, we can produce more crops on the same foot print of land. We currently have more than 10 Greenhouses, producing hundreds of kgs of vegetables daily for the local market. Our operations are scalable and we intend to increase the number of greenhouses by the end of 2017.
Increase Food Value
Fresh produce loses nutrients quickly. From the moment it is picked, the sugars in produce begin to turn to starch. If there is a one week delay from harvest to dining table, sugars turn to starches, plant cells shrink and produces loses its vibrance and vitality. Food grown locally was probably picked within the past few days. Fresh is best!
Increases food safety and security
Food scares and scandals are becoming more frequent. In today’s market, food products are sourced globally making it increasingly difficult to know exactly where your food is coming from. Complex food supply chains means there is limited accountability and traceability of illness outbreaks.
